The Paul Horn Company was founded in Germany in 1969 and grew rapidly throughout the final quarter of the 20th Century. During the 1990s a series of overseas subsidiaries was established in key markets to oversee sales and distribution of Horn's range of high precision grooving tools.
Realizing that the North American market was very large, however, substantially different than the European market, Horn USA was born with offices in Franklin, TN in 1997, with sales starting at the IMTS show in September, 1998.
Horn USA was very successful and rapid sales growth following this show led the groundwork for manufacturing imperial product in the US. In 2001, Horn USA increased the size of the facility and received their first CNC grinding machines to emulate production in GmbH.
This start of production and reduced delivery times for imperial sized product, allowed Horn USA to experience tremendous sales growth and in 2003 we increased our manufacturing capacity with additional equipment. This extra capacity was quickly eliminated and decisions were made to grow again. In 2005 a special purpose manufacturing facility was added to the existing location to allow for the increased capacity and future increases. In 2007 additional facility was acquired to further improve our quality capabilities.
Currently Horn USA, has roughly 25,000 square feet with the ability to manufacture both standard and special products from our Supermini®, Mini, Mini Milling, 312/315/314 range of products. Our production consists of 10 CNC grinding machines as well as support equipment. We manufacture all of the imperial dimensioned products for which we have capability.
While we were growing substantially in sales and manufacturing capacity, we simultaneously improved our product design, tech support, and product training facilities. Included within our facility is a dedicated training center for both hands on and classroom training, product design, tech support and customer service.
Our manufacturing and sales operates under an ISO 9001 approved quality assurance scheme and its environmental systems are certified as being ISO 14001 compliant. Horn USA welcomes you to visit the facility and meet some of the 45+ employees responsible for HORN products.
