Quality and Environmental Protection Guide
Paul
HORN GmbH and HORN USA manufacture high precision
carbide grooving tools, which meet the expectations
of our customers considering Performance, Security,
Quality, Reliability and the Environmental
Protection levels of the individual market segments.
All
of these requirements are achieved from an
established quality control chain which includes the
Development, Construction, Production and even
Production Management.
All
steps during the manufacturing process are carefully
scheduled and respect all existing and relevant Norm
areas as well as official requirements. The
manufacturing process also includes cost analysis
and cost evaluations.
Skilled
and long-term educated employees are responsible for
all relevant manufacturing tasks. Materials,
machines and all other production elements represent
the latest and most modern equipment according to
the known levels in science and technology.
It
is also important to develop a work philosophy that
does not only recognize errors and the reasons for
it. More importantly it should detect possible
errors in advance and create troubleshooting
procedures before an error appears. This philosophy
requires highly motivated employees. It is our aim
to create and improve the working environment
continuously to maintain this highly motivated
workforce.
Each
employee commits himself with his exceptional
performance and high quality work to realize and
achieve the company targets. In case one employee
discovers processes or production failures that he
personally cannot influence, it is an obligation to
inform his or her supervisor or area manager without
delay. Any possible appearance of irregularities has
to be avoided. All employees are part of this
quality procedure.
For
all environmental and quality related work and
processes regarding emergency activities, documents
and procedures have been introduced and are on file.
A
continuous control of all products and processes,
and documented procedures are guaranteed due to
internal audits and certification audits by external
institutions. This
is in order to continuously improve the company’s
environmental protection, work safety and quality
control.
We
always monitor existing production activities during
the normal operation, in addition to when we detect
an error in terms of the influence on environmental
protection. New processes are laid out with
consideration of the influence on the environment.
We have decided on the best available technology
considering all quality and economical manufacturing
aspects.
The
minimal requirements for any of our activities are
the general rules and regulations. We use our best
endeavors also considering the influence of the
technical side to avoid any possible danger for
health, safety and the environment.
